We recently wrapped up our Sunrise Drive project in Little Canada, MN. In this home, we remodeled the kitchen, mudroom, and powder bath to better meet the needs and updated design style of our clients.
With an old-world design style, our clients wanted to infuse that vision into the updates in their main level. We worked with Steven Cabinets on the cabinetry, which was a great partnership. In the kitchen, our client chose pushout casement Marvin Windows that made a huge impact with a nice nod to that old-world design. Once construction was complete, Spacecrafting Photography did an amazing job capturing the home.
The Kitchen
Before we started construction, our client’s kitchen was dated. With a peninsula island, they weren’t making the most of their kitchen space, and the dark wood cabinets made the room feel small and cramped. The growing family wanted more space to eat together and entertain.
For the design, we worked with our client who chose the layout, selections, and finishes. They did an awesome job of designing a space they can enjoy for years to come.
Below is the final reveal of the Sunrise Drive kitchen remodel. With a large island, additional shelving, new cabinetry by Steven Cabinets, and all updated fixtures, this kitchen looks like a completely new space. One of our favorite elements is the full height backsplash that created a really elegant look.
We’re so happy with how it turned out!
These Ultimate Casement Push Out windows from Marvin are such a statement in the kitchen and really bring in the old-world charm that our clients love so much. These windows let in tons of natural light and allow for an amazing view from their kitchen.
Throughout the entire kitchen, there are beautiful storage solutions, like this island shelf for cookbooks and the shelves above the range where they can show off decor.
The Powder Bath
Along with the kitchen, we also worked on the main level powder bathroom for our clients. This space also felt dark and dated. In this room, our clients wanted to infuse a bit more personality and character.
During construction, we added new flooring, a new window, and a new vanity. Our clients chose a fun floral wallpaper, new lighting, and imported reclaimed terracotta flooring that really brings in the old-world charm.
See the final look below of the powder bathroom.
The Mudroom
The final room on the main level that we remodeled was the mudroom. Before we started construction, the mudroom’s layout wasn’t functional for our client’s needs and also needed some updates.
We tore down a few walls to create a layout with a better flow. In the mudroom, we also carried in the same terracotta tile from the bathroom that compliments the cabinetry really well.
Below is the final reveal of the mudroom. Now, it has personality and lots of charm.
